Fire Station

Diamond A has a fire station, which is located on the Recreation Association land. It is leased to Sonoma Valley Fire District.  Our fire station is manned by volunteer fire fighting neighbors. Its existence has a positive effect on the fire insurance rates paid by the owners of Diamond A dwellings.
    
The Lease Agreement with Sonoma Valley Fire District started in August, 1989 (when it was Sonoma Valley FireMed) and runs through August, 2023 - 34 years. There is a provision in the lease for it to be extended for an additional 15 years, at the option of the Fire District. The District paid lease consideration of $15,000, when the lease was signed. There is as process for determining the lease rent for the extension period, which is spelled out in the agreement.
